The Decade of Destiny is upon us...
Just in the last few months I've:
*gone on a bike ride down a mountain
*planted a tree
*traveled to the Middle East
*played horseshoes at the NC State Fair
and now....
I recently acquired the software
My Memories Suite and have started playing around with it.
Now, I've made books on Walgreens.com, but this so much cooler!
For one, there are about a gagillion more options to choose from for 'details'.
You can start with one of the many templates that they already have imported in...
Or you can create your own using backgrounds, embellishments, textures, and fonts.
There are several different ways to do each task, so whether you're a click and drag sort of person or a key command kind of gal, or a file menu type of organizer, there's a way for you to become comfortable with the software.
My computer is quite old so it ran a little slow for me, but it was still a gagillion times faster than trying to do anything like this with real paper, ribbon, and whatever. The page below is just me playing around, but I download the design (free, I might add) and then added a pic of one of my great, great, great, some more great grandfathers. (It's Seth Dustin if you really want to know!)
You can add all the embellishments you want, too. At first I wasn't sure how to add them, but after a quick tutorial I found on
youtube, I was good to go.
So.... the best part?!?
I get to give a copy of this software away!!
What???? That's right... another new thing I've done lately (or you will help me do)
is host a giveaway on my blog.
(I feel so grown up!)
So, for a chance to win your very own My Memories Suite here's what you need to do:
1) visit MyMemories.com
2) take a look at the digital paper packs, embellishments, etc
3) leave a comment on this blog telling me which one is your favorite!
Oh... and do all this by Wednesday, November 16th!
The winner will be chosen by random.org and I'll contact you with a code for you to use to get the software. If you're boring and/or think that you never win anything and just want to purchase the program yourself, use the code at the right and get $10 off (do you see it... there's a button on the side - under the blog archive info!)
Needless to say, my Christmas vacation activity plans may have just changed! Usually I don't get to spend anytime scrapbooking because airline weight limits are not conducive to the sheer amount of materials... but with My Memories Suites, maybe I'll spend my days working on scrapbooking after all!
