An Army of Sisters
The Relief Society was organized March 17, 1842...
We had a party to celebrate
March 16th, 1842 hours
We talked about being strong...
and being a united Army
in the service of our Lord.
We ate yummy food.
We tied quilts
to give to the Humanitarian Aid Center.
I love these women.

Leprechaun Lounge
Friends Lisa and Bradley invited Thomas and I over for the annual Leprechaun Lounge... we wrote some limericks, had some corned beef and cabbage and Lisa's delicious potato bread, and just had a lot of fun.
Here's our limericks...
There once was an old lady named Pat
Whose nose twitched like a little fat rat
She liked to dance jigs
While wearing green wigs
And play with her little brown cat
-by Ashlee
Oh Notre Dame, seeded six
Satisfy my gambling fix
I need you to win
Kill Old Dominion
What? Irish lose? Fiddlesticks
-by Thomas

Rub a dub dub - I dug up some grubs
Well... actually, Thomas did.
With the help of my friend Thomas, I spent Saturday morning getting my garden ready for this year's plants. As he was turning the dirt in the raised bed, he found a little surprise.
And then another one... and another one. A whole grub family in fact!
I didn't have the heart to kill them so I put them in the trash bag
with a bunch of dirt and grass and whatnot that I had dug up earlier.
May they live out the rest of their buggy lives in dirty bliss.
After the grub infestation was taken care of, I planted some lettuce, spinach, and peas in the garden box. One of my co-workers led me to the site mysquarefootgarden which assigns you a color based on your location... and then she outlines what and when you should plant in your garden. Pretty cool. With all that information I wasn't surprised that it's a Utah lady running the site! We mormons are pretty good at irrigation after all.
